Countdown to RootsTech 2020--YES this conference is for you!

RootsTech 2020 is already shaping up to be the greatest Family History event ever, and I don't say that lightly.  I sincerely believe as it is already the largest and most well attended Genealogy conference--and the only one of it's kind--combining the best of genealogy with the latest in technology. With it being the conference's 10th year, the RootsTech team is pulling out all the stops. Every year I'm incredibly impressed at how they figure out ways to innovate the conference, even expanding to London this year, but even with all the good conferences in previous years, the 2020 conference is bound to be the best. I'm excited as the conference approaches to share with you some of what'll be new at this year's RootsTech, but for now, let's focus on why everyone and anyone could have an incredible time at this conference, and why YOU should definitely attend this year.

So just for fun, which category do you fall under?

Uninterested Genealogist
Let's be real, you wouldn't be reading this post if you fit under this category, but just to be clear, YES, it's even for you.
RootsTech Conference has a theme they've focused on the past few years, "Connect/Belong," and there's no one that can't benefit from the power of connecting with people and finding a place where they belong. The team at RootsTech does an incredible job of creating an inedible experience where you can connect through the RootsTech app with Relatives at RootsTech as well as creating experiences in the Expo Hall where you can have an interactive experience of discovering how you "belong" in the big picture of the human family.  That alone could help these "uninterested" folks have an experience worth remembering. Not to mention the inspiring keynote addresses and exciting evening events to keep things lively and fun.

Dabbling Genealogist: We'll consider this category to be those who have created free family history accounts and maybe accessed some cool tools, but just figure they don't have time to really do genealogy work right now.
To you I kindly state, YOU'RE WRONG! Come to RootsTech!  Between the over  300 classes and the gigantic Expo Hall of over 200 companies you will be introduced to THE MOST incredible tools through the latest in technology. You will be amazed as you discover that you CAN enjoy the fun related to climbing your family tree now, even in this busy time of life.
Join us, you will not be disappointed!

Hobbyist Genealogist: These are those of us who do family history whenever we can and really enjoy it, but only have time to work on it here and there.
Hello!! This is the perfect excuse to etch some time out to focus on just you, your family, and your stories. You've been itching to spend some time on your tree, so come do it and be surrounded by like-minded individuals.  The networking at this conference is incredible. RootsTech is most definitely the place for you. If you've ever been intimidated by the idea of attending a genealogy conference, this is the perfect one to start with, there are genealogists of ALL kinds and you're sure to meet new friends AND family. How often does a conference offer that?!!

Professional Genealogist: You've been doing this forever, and you've attended many different conferences, and you really know just about everything you need to know, right?!
Well, of course this is going to be a perfect place to network, meet new clients, learn about the latest innovations and be heard by the companies who are creating the genealogy tools of the future.  Influence upcoming products and companies by meeting with them and giving them your experienced feedback. Help make the industry stronger and more progressive while at RootsTech this year.
